Set up VIP Killfeed

Killfeed, stats, bounties, shop delivery and anti-cheat for Nitrado DayZ console servers. About five minutes, no coding.

What you need

  • A DayZ server on Nitrado (Xbox or PlayStation). Chernarus, Livonia, Sakhal and Badlands all work.
  • A Discord server where you have Manage Server (owners and admins do).
  • Your Nitrado login, to make a token in step 3.

1Add the bot

Press Add to Discord at the top of this page, pick your server and press Authorize.

  • Leave every permission ticked. The bot needs Manage Channels and Manage Roles to build its channels for you, and nothing more (it never asks for Administrator).
  • You get a welcome DM with the three steps below.

2Run /setup

In any channel, type /setup. A private panel opens (only you see it).

  1. Open the menu and untick any channel you don't want. Everything is ticked by default.
  2. Optional: pick a role in the Player channels visible to… menu (VIP, Member, Verified…). Only that role sees the player channels; leave it empty and everyone does. You can change it later by running /setup again.
  3. Press Create channels. The bot builds two categories, sets the permissions, and gives you the Killfeed Staff role.

VIP Killfeed · feeds (everyone reads, only the bot posts)

#killfeed#pvefeed#auto-leaderboard#hitfeed#emotefeed#bounty-tracking#connections#build-feed#who-is-online#events#zone-alerts

VIP Killfeed · command channels (players run commands, no chatter)

#link-gamertag#stats-leaderboards#bounty#heatmaps#economy#casino#shop

Killfeed Admin · staff only

#admin-alerts#admin-logs#ban-log#live-map#server-logs
Give the Killfeed Staff role to your moderators so they can see the admin channels and act on cheat alerts. /setup is safe to run again at any time: it keeps what exists and only rebuilds what is missing.

3Connect Nitrado

The bot reads your server's logs through a Nitrado long-life token.

  1. On nitrado.net open Developer → Long life tokens (direct link).
  2. Description: VIP Killfeed. Tick only the service scope:
    rootserverserviceservice_orderssh_keysuser_edituser_info
  3. Press Create and copy the token.
  4. Back on the /setup panel press Connect Nitrado, paste it into the private form, leave Service ID blank, submit.
  5. If your token sees several servers, pick yours from the menu. Check the map the bot detected and change it if it's wrong.
Never paste the token into a channel or a DM. The form is private and the token is encrypted the moment the bot receives it. The service scope cannot spend money or change your Nitrado account. If you think it leaked, delete it on that Nitrado page and connect a new one.

4Check three Nitrado settings

SettingWhy
Admin logs onThe killfeed, stats and alerts all come from the server's ADM log. Most servers have it on already.
Disable Multi-Account Mitigation: offWith mitigation on, the server can write device ids into its log, which is what lets the bot catch banned players on new accounts (device bans).
cfggameplay.json enabledOnly needed for in-game shop delivery (see Optional features). The server ignores the delivery file without it.

5Send a test kill

Press Send a test kill on the panel. A sample kill appears in #killfeed. Real kills follow within about a minute of happening on the server. You're done.

Optional features

Everything below works out of the box with sensible defaults; these are the knobs worth knowing.

Shop with in-game delivery

  1. Turn cfggameplay.json on in Nitrado, then press Set up shop delivery on the /setup panel (or run /shop delivery action:setup). The bot finds your mission folder, backs up cfggameplay.json and adds its delivery file. If it can't tell which folder is yours, it shows a menu to pick from.
  2. Open the dashboard → Shop. Press Read types.xml from server once: every item your server can spawn is imported and sorted into categories (firearms, ammo, clothing, tools, base building, vehicles…).
  3. Build items and kits by clicking class names: up to 10 kinds per kit, with quantities (ten logs and a plank pile, say). Set the price, stock, a daily restock, a per-player daily limit and an optional role gate. /shop add does the same from Discord.
  4. Players /ping, save a named drop point, then /shop view to browse by category and buy with buttons (or press Open shop on the pinned board in #shop). Orders spawn at the next restart; a queued order can be cancelled for a refund until then.

Vehicles spawn bare: put 4 wheels, a battery, a spark plug and a radiator in the kit so it drives away.

Economy and casino

Kills, bounties, /daily, /work, /trick and /crime earn credits; a failed shift, trick or crime costs cash on hand, and /casino spends it. Tune pay, win rates, losses and cooldowns with /economy set (for example rule:crime_chance value:40). trick_spicy switches the /trick jokes from scams to mild adult innuendo.

Cheat alerts and auto-bans

Alerts land in #admin-alerts with Ban / Dismiss buttons: impossible ranges, skywalking, boosting, alt accounts, banned devices. Tune them with /alerts; set automatic bans with /autoban.

Discord-linked whitelist

/killfeed whitelist enabled:on: only gamertags linked to a Discord account (30+ days old) can join, and a ban also bars that Discord account. The strongest answer to account-hopping, for Xbox and PC players alike.

Schedules

/schedule add runs restarts, messages, raid windows (base damage on/off), Nitrado setting changes and heatmap posts on a timetable. Set /schedule timezone first.

Web dashboard

Open it and log in with Discord to see stats and run admin commands from a browser.

Tell your players

Paste this into your announcements channel:

The killfeed is live! Link your gamertag so your kills count:
• /link name:YourGamertag (in #link-gamertag)
• /stats and /leaderboard (in #stats-leaderboards)
• /daily, /work, /trick and /crime to earn credits, /bank to keep them safe (in #economy)
• /bounty to put a price on someone's head (in #bounty)
• /ping, save a drop point, then Open shop in #shop (or /shop view)
• /report if you see a cheater

Command list

Players/link /unlink /stats /ranks /leaderboard /online /bank /daily /work /trick /crime /rob /casino /bounty /shop /ping /zone /faction /heatmap /report /help
Admins/setup /killfeed /alerts /ban /unban /bans /autoban /pc /airdrop /server /schedule /economy /admin

Admin commands need the Manage Server permission. /help in Discord shows these steps too.

Troubleshooting

I can't find the bot's commands
Press Ctrl+R to reload Discord. If another bot also has a /setup, type / and click the VIP Killfeed icon in the picker to list only its commands.
"The bot is missing …" or "Discord refused"
Press Fix bot permissions on the panel and authorize again with every box ticked. If it still fails, open Server Settings → Roles and drag the VIP Killfeed role above the roles it needs to manage.
No kills are showing up
Run /killfeed status: it shows the last poll and any Nitrado error. Check admin logs are on (step 4). The bot polls about once a minute, and a fresh server log only starts after a restart.
Kill posts show text instead of the image card
Cards are on by default. If one arrives as text, press Send a test kill again; /killfeed cards shows which feeds have cards on.
Shop delivery can't find cfggameplay.json
Turn on cfggameplay.json in your Nitrado settings and restart once so Nitrado creates it, then press Set up shop delivery again and pick your mission folder from the menu. You can also type the path Nitrado's file browser shows: /shop delivery action:setup mission:dayzxb_missions/dayzOffline.nasdara.
I changed or deleted my Nitrado token
Run /setup and press Reconnect Nitrado with the new token. Stats and settings are kept.
